Catalog summary
Igor Mitoraj Igor MITORAJ (1944-2014) Bandaged face, 1977 Bronze Signed on the oval of the face. On the back: "Happy New Year 1977". Editions Christofle, France Base in blackened wood. Height with base: 10 cm Note: This miniature work embodies Mitoraj's emblematic approach, exploring themes of fragmentation and human vulnerability. The bandaged face, a recurring motif in his work, symbolizes the duality between suffering and resilience, while evoking traces of the past and the wounds of the soul. This edition, combining the elegance of Christofle with the symbolic power of Mitoraj, is a striking example of his unique artistic language.
