Catalog summary
Andre Jourcin André JOURCIN (1905-1974) - Barque en bord de mer - Oil on canvas, signed lower right - 55 x 46 cm - Visible lacks of paint Note: The composition features a boat, a symbol of coastal activity, in a soothing, luminous setting. Jourcin's treatment of light and soft tones capture the tranquil, contemplative atmosphere of the seaside. However, visible missing paintwork bears witness to the wear and tear of time, requiring eventual restoration to restore this work to its original vitality. Despite this, the canvas retains the artist's authentic, poetic charm.
