DESCRIPTION OF ARTWORK: Erté (Romain de Tirtoff) (1892-1990) was a Russian-born French artist whose designs in fashion, jewelry, costume, set design, interiors, graphic arts, and other arenas, executed with characteristic geometricized ornamentation, came to represent the Art Deco style during the 1920s. The subject work is a serigraph, edition 171 of 175 (aside from an AP edition of XVII),
