Catalog summary
Mark Beard MARK BEARD (AKA Bruce Sargeant, American, b. 1956), bronze statue, male athlete, signed 'BRUCE SARGEANT' on bronze plinth, 83"H. Note: This artist is known for five different artistic personalities including Beard acting as Bruce Sargeant (1898-1938), a spoof on John Singer Sargent who died in a tragic wrestling accident. The statue is in very good condition with light wear and some uneven patina. This is a heavy sculpture that weighs at least 300 pounds.
