Catalogue Note Chris Ofili featured in the exhibition Surprise Surprise at the ICA in 2006. He has generously donated a new drawing for the ICA's 60th anniversary auction, entitled Afrotranslinear Two , 2007-08. The artist's fantastical paintings touch on a variety of sources from art and popular culture, including comic-book heroes, pornography, jazz, hip hop and Blaxploitation movies. The donated work is typical of Ofili's pencil drawings, which employ delicate, psychedelic patterns.
