Lev Tchistovsky Orchids signed in Latin, dated 1939 and inscribed Paris l.r oil on board 65 by 100cm, 25 1/2 by 39 1/4 in. Condition The board is sound. There are frame abrasions along the edges with some associated paint loss. The surface is slightly dirty and there are some scattered flecks of dirt throughout. Inspection under UV light reveals an uneven layer of varnish. Held in a painted wooden frame with plaster mouldings. Unexamined out of frame.
