Description Leo Gestel Scheveningen signed Leo Gestel, titled and dated 09 (lower right) watercolour, gouache and pencil on paper 31 by 33.5cm., 12 1/4 by 13 1/4 in. Executed in 1909. Condition Executed on cream wove paper, laid down on card, glued to the overmount along all four edges. The sheet is timestained and there is some scattered foxing, mainly to the upper half of the work. There are some tiny paint losses to parts of the white gouache accents and what appears to be a repaired tear to the yellow part of the driver's boot. This work is in overall fairly good condition. The edges of the sheet are not accessible with the current mounting arrangement so the dimensions of the sheet might be slightly larger than those listed in the catalogue.
