"In the works of art executed in the Seventies (...) anything can happen, or has already happened: everything is clear and well resolved (...); everything that is born in the deepness of a work of art re emerges on the surface of the canvas again. The premonitions of form do not persist along with memories and reveries. Form is most probably conceived, found again, reached. Afro's long journey had come to an end (...) as he reached an extraordinary and still not acknowledged maturity".
