The instability, fear, and shuttering of their existence as they are stripped of their natural rights. Through color, form, and composition - borrowing from sentiments of Italian renaissance paintings and illustrating the dichotomy of the serene and the claustrophobic - I push to abstract the story while still keeping the message at the forefront."
