Condition
The work is in very good condition. Both canvases, eight-member stretchers and attachments appear to be in good condition. There is a thin strip of tape adhered to the turnover edges. There are fine hairline cracks and faint abrasions to extreme edges in places, visible upon close inspection. There is cracking to some of the impasto elements throughout, all of which are stable. In the right canvas, there are pinpoint paint losses to the extreme lower left and lower right vertical edges, visible upon close inspection. When examined under ultra-violet light, there are small areas along the perimeter of both canvases which fluoresce; in the left canvas, there are two violet impasto passages to the right vertical edge and an orange impasto passage to the left vertical edge which fluoresce; in the right canvas, there is a violet impasto passage in the lower left quadrant which fluoresces.
