Sale: Hôtel Drouot, Paris, 26th April 1927, lot 12 Galerie Durand-Ruel et Georges Petit, Paris Acquired from the above (1942) and thence by descent to the present owner Condition The canvas is lined. There is some frame rubbing along the extreme edges. There is a pigment loss (approx 0.5mm) towards the centre of the left edge and another to the lower right corner away from the signature and a few further flecks in places. UV light examination reveals some small spots of retouching to the lower left corner. There appears to be a repaired tear (approx 10 cm long) to the centre of the lower right quandrant with associated retouching. This work is in fairly good condition.
