The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals two intermittent vertical thin surface scratches (approx. 13 cm long) associated with retouching to the lower right quadrant and a few scattered small dots of retouching, most predominately in the background and along the extreme edges. There is a possible spot of paint loss (approx. 1.5 cm wide) to the woman's forehead. Colours are fresh and impasto is nice. This work is in overall good condition.
