Property from a Private German Collection Max Ernst 1891 - 1976 Janus signed max ernst, numbered 10/18 and stamped with the foundry mark CIRE A. VALSUANI PERDUE bronze height: 43,5 cm; 17⅛ in. Conceived at the end of May 1974 in an edition of 20 plus 8 artist's proofs with a black patina. Dr. Jürgen Pech has confirmed the authenticity of this work, which will be included in the supplementary volume of the Complete Works of Max Ernst now in preparation, edited by Prof. Dr. Werner Spies in collaboration with Dr. Jürgen Pech and Dr. Sigrid Metken. __________________________________________________________________________ Provenant d'une Collection Particulière Allemande Max Ernst 1891 - 1976 Janus signé max ernst, numéroté 10/18 et porte la marque du fondeur CIRE A.
